So, you've got an offer for your house – what's next?

Give us a call as soon as you decide to sell so we can start preparing your paperwork to avoid any delays down the line. We'll also send you a simple questionnaire about your property – fill this out and send it back us, so we can get things moving for you.

We'll get the legal paperwork ready and send it to the buyer's solicitor. Once everyone agrees, we'll send you a copy to sign.


We'll send you a questionnaire with a checklist to help you decide what's included with the sale and what's not.

Exchanging Contracts

The sale only becomes legally binding when both you and the buyer have signed the contracts and they've been exchanged.


When contracts are exchanged, we'll also ask the buyer's solicitor for a deposit. Usually, it's around 10% of the purchase price, but this can be negotiated. If you're buying another property at the same time, this deposit can go towards your purchase.

Completion Date

When contracts are exchanged, we'll agree on a completion date. This is when the rest of the purchase money is paid, and you need to move out of the property.

Repayment of your Mortgage

On completion, our team will take care of repaying your Mortgage, and any other charges held on your property.

Estate Agent's Fees

If you're selling through an estate agent, their fees are due when the sale is completed. Don't worry – we'll take care of paying these fees from the proceeds of the sale unless you tell us otherwise.
